050. Takashi Moribe On Athletic Training, Rolfing, and Creating Work Life Balance

In this episode, Andrew talks to Takashi Moribe, a certified athletic trainer and Rolfer from Tokyo, Japan. Takashi grew up playing a wide range of sports. Experiencing some injuries along the way is what led him to become an athletic trainer. He shares some interesting stories in this episode about his path and what he learned along his journey.

He began at the University of Hawaii and then went on to get his master’s degree at the University of Arkansas. He discovered Rolfing later on and began to combine the art with his athletic training practice to help his clients recover from injuries. Rolfing is a form of deep tissue manipulation focused on realigning the body and releasing tension.

Now, Takashi is leading an online course that he created to share his philosophies on work and life balance. He is focused on helping business owners integrate these philosophies within their careers to help them have their work support their lives instead of taking away from it. He believes that work is a part of our lives and not our entire life focus. The big takeaway from this episode is the philosophy that you can have everything, a joyful life and a fulfilling job, but you have to know how to do it. This is what Takashi teaches. Welcome Takashi Moribe to the podcast, and enjoy listening to his amazing stories and insights!
